Groups may apply for a $300 fund each year to be used for an activity specified by the group. Applicants should read these guidelines carefully and complete the form.
Guidelines - Knitters’ Guild NSW Inc has created a fund to award up to $300 in each calendar year to every Guild group, upon application and subject to conditions.
- Each group may make one application in each calendar year for a maximum of $300.
- The group must demonstrate that this fund will be applied to further the Guild’s Objects as stated in the Constitution (Knitters’ Guild NSW Incorporated, Constitution and By-Laws 2019), namely:
- To encourage and promote the craft
- To encourage and maintain high standards in design and techniques
- To provide a forum for the exchange and provision of information
- To provide the opportunity for education in the craft
- To encourage the exhibition of members’ work
- To do all things which are ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the Objects
- Examples of the uses to which this fund may be put are, but not limited to, the following:
- Knitting and/or crocheting equipment
- Promotional or exhibition items
- Books and/or magazines
- Transport for knitting and/or crocheting related trips
- The payment of fees and/or expenses for visiting tutors
- The fund may NOT be used for the following:
- Venue hire of your normal group meeting place
- Not to be used to subsidise any individual Group member or members attendance at events either internal or external to the Guild
- Entertainment
- Group meeting catering costs
- All applications must be made on the form provided by the Guild and signed by TWO Group Officers.
- Applications for the current year should be received by 31 October of that year.
- The funding application will be put before the next meeting of the Executive Committee who will inform the Group if the application has been successful. Payment will be made to the Group bank account within 6 weeks of the application having been submitted.
- Within six months of the fund being awarded, the Group must supply the Guild with documentary proof of purchase.
- Any funds not expended by the date/s as stated on the application are to be returned to the Guild bank account as soon as possible.
- The Guild reserves the right to reduce, increase, suspend or cancel this award at any time.
